Nova Young was born 2 years ago on March 25th, 2012. On June 4th 2014, she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is very rare, accounting for only 3% of all childhood cancers.

The tumor inside Nova has wrapped around both sides of her spine, growing through the base of her spine and out the back side of her pelvis. It has also affected the nerves in her leg and bladder and has spread to her liver.  In light of these factors, surgery for removal is not an option.

Nova has recently begun chemo therapy, in the strongest form available. She will go in for her first PET scan July 17th to determine whether the chemo treatment is working.

Despite the side effects of the chemo, the constant swallowing of meds, and the endless trips to the hospital, Nova is showing signs of improvement every day in the little things; she loves to play with her stuffed animals, watch and sing along to her favorite cartoons, and (with a little help from Daddy) even cruise around on her new big wheel!

Her single parent family is doing everything they can to provide the best quality of life for Nova while she continues to battle this thing warrior princess style. But they need our help. Please click on the pic of Nova and donate today.

We carry on with hope as every day is another chance for Nova to learn and grow and enjoy

the life she deserves to live.
